Awesome way to see the best sights of the Sacred Valley!
If you want a first person view of the incredible Peruvian landscapes, rather than looking out of the side window of another tour bus, then this is a must do trip. There is a mix of off-roading trails and roads but nothing too challenging.
As per the other reviews, you will only spend about 20 minutes at each site which is perfect for photos / purchases and you get a little but of information but don't expect a full blown tour. This suited us perfectly. The other point to note is that you will only go to two of the 3 advertised locations. The guides will ask if you want to go to Moray or if you have already purchased the Sacred Valley pass, as this is 70 soles and some people may not want to do it. Our group go split so that we all did the Salt Flats but then we were divided to do either Moray or Maras. Again this was perfect for us and we were happy with the way the tour worked.
Last points to note would be that although you are given a helmet, there is no other safety gear provided and when we passed lots of other ATV tours some had body armour or at least gloves. You will also get very, very dusty so dress accordingly and take scarfs and sunglasses for your face.
All in all, a great experience!
we had a ton of fun! would highly recommend this tour. loved seeing the salt flats!
I wouldn't necessarily call this a tour. More like a ride through Moray, Maras and the Salt Mines. I was the only non-Spanish speaking person on my tour in a total of 7 people, me being the odd one :. I didn't mind as we rode through the countryside.
There was no explanation of the sites we visited and it was simply a walk-around-the-site type of deal, and without a time limit at that. Everyone seemed to come back to the ATVs around the same time so I guess it worked out in the end.
The title of the tour is deceiving, I'll say that. But still enjoyable as you get to see Andeans out in the middle of the Sacred Valley in their fields and homes.
