It's a fun time on the atv's following each other through the Sacred Valley. I enjoyed seeing the Salt Flat, but we didn't go to Moray and I looked forward to going. It seemed as if we didn't have enough time. This was the only part of the tour that was disappointing.
This was a total blast. Like the other reviews stated, we didn't get a ton of time at the locations but the whole trip was totally worth it. The hubs and I both loved it. Our guide was awesome and the views were killer
Tour was four stars booking/transfer process was two stars.
First - My family enjoyed the tour with ATV Cusco and our guide, Wilson was as hoped - friendly, flexible, and english-speaking. Loved seeing the salt mines. We wished we had been able to drive on more ATV paths and fewer public roads - the entire tour was on public roads shared with taxis and buses etc which makes it feel a little silly to be driving an ATV though it is definitely more fun and it is somewhat disconcerting to share the road like that. Our only venture off road was due to road construction blocking our path - and it was the most fun part of the tour.
As for the booking/transfer it was a two star experience. My family of 6 was staying in the Sacred Valley about 20 minutes from the departure point, and the supplier Wilka Travel was great to set up a taxi for us which we agreed to pay for separately from the tour - since we weren't staying in Cusco, it just made a lot more sense for everyone. Unfortunately the taxi was just for four of us we booked two separate reservations under the same name at the same time for a total of 6 - couldn't book single and double riders in the same reservation. So we scrambled a second taxi not quick or easy in Urubamba, Peru! which obviously cost a bit more. When I followed up with them through Viator to ask for a credit to reflect what turned out to be 8 person extra transfer costs and one other small issue related to consolidating down from 5 ATV's to just 4, I found Wilka to be responsive but not flexible or reasonable. They seemed to think I was asking for a full refund when in fact I had asked for a very modest and fair partial refund to reflect the reduced services I required from them in the self-transfer and in the reduced of ATV's used. I had hoped that the Viator factor would mean even a supplier like Wilka travel would be held to some sort of basic reasonable customer service standards. The front end was outstanding - great communication and tools. But the follow up and recovery was quite weak and unfortunately typical for these sorts of arrangements.
So in closing, I would say you should book this tour if you like driving ATV's on public roads, and you are on your own if there is any sort of problem with billing or service delivery. Probably not a major shock and given the relatively low costs probably not a major risk. Just wanted to share my experience.
