At night your guide will help you catch fish through the ice as we wait for the magical aurora dance. Your guide will help you take pictures of the aurora borealis.

Absolutely amazing experience. The directions were clear and there were signs as you approached the site telling you where to park and where to walk to. The drive there was scenic and beautiful and we were lucky enough to have clear skies to catch the Aurora! CJ was an absolute pleasure; informative, educated, polite, and a great cook! Inside the cabin it gets warm and cozy and you wouldn't know you are spending 5 hrs with strangers from very different backgrounds because very quickly everyone warmed up to each other and we had such a great time. The fishing is easy and fun and you don't need any experience. Cody made sure to let us know what kind of fish they were and the depths of the water and had answers for all of our questions. Highly recommend this experience with Rod's Alaskan Guide Service!

This was a great experience. CJ was great and took care of everything. The hut was plenty warm. The sausage was delicious and the fish we caught was cooked. CJ took care of cleaning and cooking the fish. The aurora was slightly visible but not spectacular but that's the way it goes sometimes. It was a fun night with the 3 other people that were in the tour. I would definitely recommend this company for ice fishing.

We booked snowmachine, dog sledding and ice fishing/ Aurora viewing excursions with Rod everything was great, we didn’t get to see the Aurora that night because it was cloudy but everything was top notch! The reindeer sausage is great, and Cody was a wonderful host while fishing.
