We didn't really see the lights on this tour, just a bit of a faint glow. It was a cloudy night, so no fault of the tour guide. I do felt he tried really hard - relocating multiple times trying to find a place where we could see them better. However, I feel that communication was not good - it would have been nice to know what he was seeing on the forecast, where we were going next, etc. There was very little communication at all - even when we started driving back to the hotels for drop off, there was no announcement that we were done for the night. He also seemed very distracted as a driver which made me very nervous. Sitting in the front row of the van, i could tell that he was frequently looking at his phone and drifting into the other lane of traffic. We took a tour with a different company the night before, and the difference was quite noticeable with communication and professionalism.

Hi Heather, Thank you for sharing your feedback. On that day, the cloud coverage unexpectedly expanded, which affected the viewing conditions. As a result, the guide was continuously searching for clearer skies to maximize the chances of seeing the aurora. Due to the long duration of the trip, communication may have been less frequent.
We hold our guides to high standards, and when chasing the aurora, we always ensure safe driving. We pull over at safe locations to check the weather and monitor aurora maps to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. We take your feedback seriously and are working on improving communication in the future.
We truly appreciate your understanding and support, and we look forward to providing you with a better experience next time.
