Aurora Lodge Viewing

Overview
The long nights in the Interior of Alaska provide amazing opportunities for Aurora (Northern Lights) viewing.

For our Aurora Lodge Viewing Tour, we select one of the best Aurora viewing lodges in the area, to give you not only the best chance possible, to view the Northern Lights, but also provide you with the comfort of a warm and safe area.

This is bringing the Aurora viewing to a whole new level. You will not only have a warm spot to wait for the Aurora to show up, but also have a great local tour guide with you. He or she will be able to answer all of  your questions and provide you with additional information.

After a convenient pick up from your hotel inside the city limits, we will leave the city lights behind us in our spacious vans ensuring each guests comfort.

PLEASE NOTE that visibility of the northern lights (aurora) is not guaranteed. It is a natural phenomenon we have no control over and no refunds will be given if the aurora cannot be seen.

We did this viewing a couple hours after we landed in Fairbanks and we’re so happy we did! Aurora Wildlife Guide was incredibly helpful and flexible with us as far as changing the pick up time to fit our needs (our flight landed at 940pm and the original pick up time of 1030pm would be too tight). Lynley was our driver/tour guide and when she picked us up at our hotel, right away she was welcoming, fun, and so helpful! She even assisted us with camera settings together with Mok, who was the owner of the very cute and homey lodge! Mok had cocoa, coffee, and cookies ready for us to enjoy in between watching out for Lady Aurora and getting nice and toasty. It wasn’t too active with the cloud coverage this Monday evening but we were happy to even see it for a little! Thank you Lynley and Mok for such a great start to our trip!! - Marian & Jonel

I joined all four of their aurora tours. All of them are excellent and recommended, but I'd say this is the best one. You get to stay at a cozy lodge and wait for the aurora. The price is rather budget-friendly. If you're looking for "aurora only" tour instead of other sites as a package, check out this one!

We want to do this again! My grandson and I signed up for two tours with Alaska Wildlife Guide and both were led by excellent drivers and guides. Lynley took our group up to Aurora Pointe where we enjoyed Kory's hospitality and informative presentation about the Aurora and the kinds of things they look for that might indicate a good chance of experiencing the lights. There were hot drinks and things to do while waiting. Once the lights came out Lynley worked with everyone to make sure our camera settings were working to capture the beauty and, more than once, she buzzed over to consult with Kory about my iPhone app. Meanwhile Kory was taking photos with his more professional camera and invited anyone who wanted their photo taken with the lights as background to come over. He didn't charge for the photos (other than mentioning voluntary gratuities would be used to buy a better camera) and made all of the pictures he took that night available to all of us who left our email addresses. Much appreciated because they were far better than mine! Lynley was full of interesting tidbits during the travel to and from the lodge. This was an exceptional experience.
