Overview

This Segway adventure will include historical and cultural information about Austin. All groups start off with an orientation followed by one segway rider training. It only takes a few minutes to feel comfortable controlling your Segway, yet we like for you to practice prior to the start of the tour. When all group members give the thumbs up, an experienced guide leads the group to the best spots in town. Choose from 3 departure times throughout the day, each one with a slightly different focus. No matter which one you choose, you'll see the best that Austin has to offer.

We had so much fun on our Segways today!!!!!! My friend and I are too old grandmas and we felt like kids again zipping around. Our guide, Sam, was a great trainer instilling confidence in us at the same time. He did such a thorough job yet it was only five minutes before we were feeling our legs to take off. He was also an informed guide to the city and we learned some interesting facts. If I’d known this was so much fun it would have been on my bucket list!!!

Our family of 5 did the Capitol tour (3 teenage boys) It was a great way to see the city learning a bit about it's history without losing the attention of our boys. The segways were much easier to navigate than expected (you really don't have to balance on them just stand) Our guide did a great job and made it fun for us all. After getting off our segways for the last time we all wished we could always move about using one!

My wife & I decided to take the Austin Segway 2-hour tour on a FRI AM with Tom, but he was happy to extend it in time and even finished with a quick trip down to Rainey Street, which isn't typically part of the route. We stopped to walk in landmark places--Driskill Hotel, Capital building--and Tom gave us as much history as we wanted on the many different places we saw. He was a lot of fun and we enjoyed our trip so much that we'll look to do Segway tours in every new city that we go to!
