We are a family of five and because of covid, we stayed in our own car with Mike (our tour guide) connected on the phone with bluetooth speaker on, so everybody could listen and ask questions. It worked well for us. We visited an Amish family and our host was Sarah Beiler. She cooked a delicious lunch comprised of roasted chicken (the best roast chicken I've ever had), meat loafs, home-grown peas, corn and mashed potato with gravy. Everybody enjoyed the lunch and had great conversation with Sarah about their life during the pandemic, schooling, etc. and she was greatly interested in learning about us too. Sarah played a hymn with harmonica (a very good player!) too. Sarah runs a guesthouse that is located in a separate building which contained two bedrooms and a bathroom that were very clean. After lunch Mike took us to various historic sites of importance in Amish and Mennonnite community which was very entertaining. Mike also took us to the farm where the movie Witness was filmed in 1983 which was cool. Mike grew up in the Amish country so he was extremely knowledgeable and we learned a great deal about Amish way of life. Overall it was a great tour and well worth the time.

We met our tour guide Mike at the Visitors Center. Due to Covid we traveled in our individual cars he called us on our cell phone as we traveled and described points of interest during our way to the Amish Farm. Once there we were greeted by Sarah (hope I spelled her name correctly) as soon as we walked in the smell of the feast that was waiting ahead was to die for. The food was wonderful and plenty (thought about asking for a take home bag but felt embarrassed so I didn't). Sarah was the ultimate host spoke about their life on the farm, traditions, family and today's life both for them and us. Mike and Sarah thank you for such a wonderful experience.

This was probably the best part of my trip! The meal was fabulous. The children are beautiful and their farm was immaculate. Our hostess played two songs on her harmonica.
