From the time you enter the grounds everything was beautifully kept and so much to see. The museum was great. Tons of history to learn in a fun and interactive way. The self guided tour was great and it was neat to see how they’ve kept the history and traditions going. The 1868 restaurant was onpoint and affordable…the whole trip was there. Would recommend to any age to experience, we will go again!

We enjoyed the self guided tour which explained how the sauce was made and stored . Of course it’s a marketing opportunity for the company but we were still interested. The Jungle Drive was interesting in itself but the bird hide was stunning. So many egrets roosting and great to know how they had been saved .

We absolutely loved the Tabasco tour at Avery Island. It was very interesting to see the process of how Tabasco is made. The company laid out the tour very nicely. I loved being able to see the barrels and smell the product. I was also impressed that the business was kept in the family and not sold off. We also ate lunch there, which was very good, and I loved the bloody Mary bar. The crawfish Etouffee was the best we have had so far, including from New Orleans. We also drove through Avery Island and even saw an alligator. A fun experience and we were glad we made the day trip.
