This was a wonderful venue! We were celebrating my wife's 75th Birthday. We acquired tickets on line which was an easy process. We reserved VIP tickets at a price only slightly more than the 'regular' price. This gained us access to front row seats and everyone gets free popcorn. The facility is within several floors of an older building in San Antonio and they put in Magic Paraphernalia creating a small museum on one of the floors. Prior to the start of the show, staff invite you to participate in a type of Scavenger Hunt seeking clues throughout the facility useful to your quest. No pressure to do so.
They also had a professional Magician performing "Close Up Magic" at the entrance of the Theater. The tricks performed, were great, standard 'Magician' Fare and were also for sale. He had a pretty good crowd at the small counter, but one could still see the Magic.
We actually met Magician Scott Pepper, by chance, near the Close Up Table. A very friendly and affable fellow. He told us his 'story' and history of the Theater. He is rightly pleased and proud of his accomplishments, He has quite a 'resume' you can find on the Internet. The show started promptly at 7 PM and ran a full hour. The Magic was 'Amazing'. The show is 'Family Friendly' and suitable to any age of audience. I believe anyone older than 4 is invited in. There was lots of audience involvement and I can't imagine anyone didn't have a good time.
The location of the Theater is right across Alamo Plaza which put our Hotel about 75 yards from the front door of the Theater. Any Hotel on Alamo Plaza is very close, should you be spending the night. Mr. Pepper does have 'other' Magician's perform in the Theater and he has a schedule available as to who will be there and when. You can also sign up for that which we did. It was a wonderful evening. We live between Houston and San Antonio and make frequent trips there. We look forward to more visits there which will again include, The Magician's Agency. This is a worthy addition to any trip to San Antonio. My wife and I agree as an entertainment value The Magician's Agency gets our highest recommendation
