Overview

You get a brief description of the history of the property. We show you our vanilla Greenhouse and give you some background and show you how the unique Baumkuchen (tree cake) is baked on a stick.
Hawaiian - German relationships is part of the tour and as a highlight you will see a couple of extraordinary typical German Christmas objects.

This was such a fun and informative tour of an absolutely gorgeous farm! Free samples of fluffy and delicious baumkuchen cake is provided, and you're definitely going to want to take some home with you! Be sure to try the chocolate dipped variety too!

We were on the Big Island searching for things to do and came across this place. It was a wonderful experience. They only do the tours on Tuesday and Thursday at 1:00pm. Baking happens on Thursday mornings. We showed up for a Tuesday afternoon tour. This husband and wife team were so kind. The first half of the tour Markus teaches about Baumkuchen. You can hear his pride and passion. The second half he shares about the property... which has little to do with "tree cakes" but shares information about Palm trees and plants you probably did not know. It ends with some Baumkuchen samples, which are delicious. You really can't leave without buying at least one! (or 4 like we did) :) it is a wonderful way to spend an hour or so.

We were told about this farm from someone at our hotel. It was a really fun thing to do. The woman who owns the farm is lovely, and baking. The cake is a great experience. We recommend that you go there. It’s good for people of all ages.
