  • The tour is a walking tour on public city sidewalks, and is wheelchair accessible
  • Within a few blocks there are four different parking garages, and several open-air parking lots. The closest garage to our location (just two blocks away) is at 149 Peabody Place between Second Street and BB King Blvd., next to the Hampton Inn. You can try your luck with on-street metered parking, too, on Second Street just south of Beale; on Beale between Front and Second; or along Peabody Place from Front to Fourth Street.

Our tour guide was a very friendly informative young lady. She was enthusiastic with her description of beale street with all the interesting facts of the different points of interest. We were very impressed with her fun approach to the tour and highly recommend this tour. It gives u a wonderful background of beale st. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

We took this tour on a Saturday. A great time to do it. We met our guide, Michael, at the appointed time and place. He is a younger man. But he knew all about the area, it's history and personalities. He was especially able to relate Beale Street's influence on modern music and black heritage. Making history fun.
