The Boch Center Wang Theatre is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been one of the premiere theatrical destinations in Boston since opening in 1925. Rivaled by few other theatres in the world, it boasts a seating capacity of 3,500 and one of the five largest stages in the U.S. This tour allows guests of all ages to experience many aspects of the theatre like never before!

Listening to the stories..seeing all the memorabilia…standing on that massive stage!! The Wang Theater is so incredibly beautiful…and coupled with the Folk Music collection…wow!

Ernie Boch jr guitar collection was simply amazing. It was the cherry on the top of the Wang center tour. I have to mention being on stage at the Wang was mystical and we would do the tour again. Our tour guide was well knowledged on the Wang center and its history and it showed . Horrah to him for keeping us entertained.

The tour was definitely worth going to. Our guide’s love for the theater shined through the tour. It was fun visualizing all the famous stars in the dressing rooms and walking exactly where they walked. Virtually talking to Stevie Ray Vaughan was a real treat too. Best part of the tour though is seeing their huge stage and elegant auditorium! I was surprised the Beach Boys were on it. It’s way too fancy for our teenage screaming while they sang “The Little Old Lady From Pasadena” and “Surfin’USA”.
