Ellen gave us great tour of the Wang Theatre! She shared the known and supposed with humor and personal anecdotes. So interesting to see the building empty, hear insider tales, visit the Americana Room, and walk around the HUGE stage. Highly recommended for theatre lovers both in front of and behind the curtain.

The Wang Theatre now offers a guided tour of the property. What a wonderful experience. Kaitlin and Ellen took us throughout this historic theatre and taught us about the history and a lot about how the shows are actually produced. There’s so much going on behind the scenes that it’s tough to imagine how things get done. It’s not so glamorous back stage but it is fill with practicality mixed with some superstitions. When all is said and done, this tour is new to Boston and well worth the time and money.

Called 617-532-1255 to arrange a tour and they said come on over. The wife and I did the 3 PM tour alone with our tour guide Mateo. What a great time we had in this impeccably restored 1920s era theater. It’s massive...About 3800:seats and a backstage area that defies the imagination. Maybe it was the attention to detail that this theater displays. This is a true gem.
