Wesley and Hiro were the two tour guides. Wesley was in charge of our van and did a good job explaining Hawaiian culture and three importance of Mauna Kea as well as altitude sickness. He was prepared for anything and was a good driver up the bumpy mountain. He had a prime location for sunset pictures and stargazing. They did a great job pointing out Saturn in the telescope and going through many constellations. Pictures he took were great quality and we all quickly received them through airdrop or email.

First of all, my review might be a bit biased because we didn't get to the summit due to bad weather. The road was closed by the rangers, and the visibility was poor at the visitor center. We did get refund of $200 per person so nothing much to complain about. Our tour guide was great. He spent a lot of time to introduce the passing landscape and talk about the history of Hawaii islands. I really appreciate his efforts which made this trip better. However I'm pretty disappointed by the group size. The website said it's a "Intimate small-group experience with a maximum of eight people". But we had 12 people in the van and that was really crowded. Considering we spent ~3 hrs roundtrip, I'm just not very happy about it. I hope the company can update the information about this trip so it's not misleading. However the part that disappointed me most was the number of people in the group, the website description promised that "". But we had 12 people in the group. The bus was too crowded

It was fantastic! Loved all of it and our guide Wes was a dream. Hope to one day come back when there isnā€™t a full moon and all the light pollution so the experience in star gazing would be better. Also to come when there are meteor showers. Saw one and it was great. Sunset was without words. Definitely a must do if your on the island
