This was a great experience of seeing the sunset, a sky full of stars, and the moon rise. Our guide James took real good care of us- he got us BLT sandwiches, hot cocoa, jackets, snow pants, gloves, water. He even showed us the ring of Saturn on the telescope and other constellations. Seeing the milky way so clearly was beautiful. My highlight of the experience was watching the moon rise from the clouds above the mountains. Must visit!

The Mauna Kea tour was an unforgettable adventure, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and cosmic wonder. Our journey began at sea level, driving up through various climate zones until we reached the summit at 13,796 feet. The views were breathtaking, with expansive landscapes stretching across the island. As the sun began to set, the sky transformed into vibrant shades of orange, pink, and purple, casting a magical glow over the volcanic landscape. At the summit, the stargazing experience was equally mesmerizing. Through powerful telescopes, we glimpsed distant stars and galaxies, completing a truly otherworldly experience.

We had a wonder evening. The sunset was excellent and the star gazing even better. Our guide James was awesome, a native Hawaiian and was super sweet. Gave us lots of interesting and fun info.
