I never thought I would enjoy an organized/guided tour with a bunch of other tourists. However, I was more than pleasantly surprised by this experience and I will be doing a lot more of these types of tours when I travel near and far. It was a great mix of interesting information on new and historic New York, a really easy/comfortable way to cover a ton of ground, and the variety of food was just right. For me it was gastro approach to experience a cross section of some of the cultures that make up diverse NYC, particularly Brooklyn (the knish, which was a fabulous first time experience for me of this simple but delicious "peasant" food, was consumed in Manhattan). Isaac was absolutely great - very knowledgeable, entertaining and offered a local's perspective that covered several decades (it was interesting to hear his thoughts on how the city is transforming, good and bad, and how that impacts residents). Try to ensure your guide is Isaac. The tour itself is good but he really makes it special.

This was a fab day out....went to places we would never have found on our own. Lots to see and taste, and Isaac was a great guide who knew everything there is to know about Brooklyn. I can highly recommend this trip. Go for it!

this was a great tour! special tastings, a lot of interesting information about NYC and despite of the weather conditions we saw a lot of parts of NY we never visited. next year we hope part 2 of this tour with food, culture and sightseeing is 'on tour' as expected.
