Mendenhall Glacier

Enjoy a narrated transfer to the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier and its Visitor Center, where a ranger can satisfy your curiosity about the natural wonders there. Roam the grounds, snap photos, take in the interactive exhibits and have the chance to watch bears feast on salmon.

Great day in Juneau. Got very lucky with the weather, and saw loads of Humpbacks. Captain Tom and guide/naturalist Sarah were great as was guide Juneau Jeff. Another half hour at the glacier would have been nice but a great day overall. Well worth the price.

The whole day was good starting with the warm and funny bus driver Al and a brief visit to the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier, with enough time for a short hike and some educational presentation from Forest Service rangers. Then came the whaling cruise, where we saw many humpbacks. Skipper Alex got us around expertly while naturalist Brigid, who follows the whales to Maui in the winter, was helpful and very knowledgable. The day finished with a tasty salmon bake - though the food was not particularly spectacular, it was good solid fare and plentiful. In all, a very fine day!

My husband, brother in law, sister-in-law and I recently went on this excursion. It was truly amazing! We started out on a trip to Mendenhall glacier and our bus driver/guide Jeff was extremely knowledgeable about Juneau Alaska. We spent time at the Mendenhall glacier visitor center. We then transitioned to whale watching with Brigid and Captain Tom! Captain Tom was an absolute sweetheart and Brigid had a vast knowledge base about whales and marine life which was exceptional! We were able to see whales and the beautiful scenery of Juneau Alaska. I could not have thought that the trip could get any better but then we went to the salmon bake which was absolutely delightful! If you are taking a trip I would highly recommend this excursion! I would give this excursion five stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🐳🐳🐳🐳🐳
