What To Expect

Fern Grotto

Board a spacious, open-air river boat for a two mile leisurely journey to the Fern Grotto where you’ll enjoy a short nature walk through the rainforest. The Fern Grotto is a geological wonder of Kauai where ferns grow upside down from the roof of the grotto. A natural amphitheater of lava rock and tropical vegetation is the perfect backdrop as you are serenaded and entertained by Hawaiian musicians and hula dancers.

Opaekaa Falls

Visit Kauai's East Side 151-foot tall and 40-foot wide waterfall cascading down into a hidden pool. "Opaekaa" means "rolling shrimp" which were once abundant in the stream.

Sleeping Giant Trail

Learn of the tails of Sleeping Giant mountain on your East-Side drive.

Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge

Visit Kauai's bird sanctuary, see firsthand the refuge's seabirds like the red-footed boobies, the wedge-tailed shearwaters, and the red and white-tailed tropicbirds. Also check out the 100 year old, 52-ft Lighthouse. Lighthouse is only open on Thursdays and Fridays.

Nice day with our guide Domo. Informative & freindly, he worked hard to share his genuine experience of life on Kauai. I have read the reviews of those who had 14-15 in the van (a long wheelbase Sprinter) and I can imagine that would be a very different experience as a lot if the tour was "drive by" to conserve time & see as much as possible. Our group was only 6 and all was very comfortable and Domo was kind and gave us a personnal experience. He always opened doors for us and helped those in need in & out of the Van.

Our beautiful day exploring the Northern and Eastern sections of Kauai was made more special by Dome who educated everyone about so many aspects of Kauai. This is a great way to spend part of your day while on the Garden Island.

Got a tour of the whole island. Our guide, Steve was very knowledgeable and friendly. Had local food on the way. Things I wish I knew ahead of time: -Flip flops are ok! -Wear whatever you want! -Lunch is not provided but they will make a stop on the way. -Tour can run late depending on traffic, weather conditions etc so if you are pressed for time, re-evaluate. -Double check the pick up and drop off hotels, they don’t cover all areas. -starts on time. -carry cash for tips. I am just embarrassed for now being to tip. Our guide, Steve was wonderful. 5 star experience because of him.
