This three hour tour was amazing. Sue was our guide and knows the island incredibly well. We covered all the highlights of Martha's Vineyard and she kept us entertained and informed with her knowledge, insights, stories and recommendations. It was our first time to the island and we felt like we left it knowing a bit more about it and where we'd want to go back and spend more time on the next trip. Highly recommend and hope you get Sue!

My wife and I have taken tours in numerous large cities and in Greece, and usually they are filled to the brim with very interesting historical information. The driver was nice enough, but the tour was disappointing. Let's begin with the fact that the air conditioning in the van barely worked. All of us in the van kept expressing how hot it was, yet the driver repeatedly would turn the air down in the back so we could "hear her." We finally convinced the driver we could hear her and she kept the air up...which barely helped. This trip was three hours long and it seems to me the amount of information that was interesting that was shared could have been summed up in about half an hour. Most of the information wasn't really historical in nature, but about talking to James Taylor's mom and the restaurant where Obama's daughter used to work. LOTS of things being pointed out behind trees that we could not see. We did see some of the places Jaws was filmed and the cliffs and a couple light houses, which were very cool, but literally most of the trip was driving down a two lane road with nothing but tress on both sides. When we stopped at the cliffs, there was another driver from another company telling his group about history and how during the World War the engines of the German U Boats could be hear off shore and how they would surface at night for various reasons. We received very little information like that. I told my wife I'm gonna start a tour company in my home town in TN and it will go like this...."There is our post office, there is the police station....and there is where I once almost saw Bruce Springsteen." I would pass on this tour...especially for the price.
