What an amazing tour! Our guide, Sarah, knew everything about the town and everyone in town knew her! More than one local shouted out that she was the best tour guide in Salem. She covered the witch trials and more recent history in a way that was always sensitive to the fact that these events happened to real people.

Afraid we would get a cheezy tour talking about who put a spell on what, we were delighted that our guide Sarah focused on the people and the times, how they lived, why they might have done what they did, in a most enjoyable and captivating manner. Cannot say enough on how much we enjoyed and appreciated the experiences.

This walking tour was a fascinating way to experience Salem history. This tour is not kitchy or artificially spooky. The history and truth are bone chilling enough. Our guide Sarah was informative, and calm in her story-telling. She was excellent. The walk itself was very manageable, and because it was dark, there were fewer distractions from the history. It felt very immersive. The memorial itself, and the description of each of these victims was moving. I knew some about the Salem witch trials, but I had no idea how big and pervasive it was for that period in history. So tragic. I very much enjoyed this tour as a way to experience Salem, and I left educated and more empathetic of their history.
