We waited for over an hour at the Santa Monica Pier stop for the bus. The bus never showed up and we decided to explore the city on our own since we only had one day in LA. We asked for a refund and were refused. We do not recommend this bus at all.

I'm normally a fan of an open top tour bus but this was the worst one I've done. It only runs between 10am and something like 4pm, so you're not really getting your money's worth. The pre-recorded commentary was often out of sync with what we were seeing, and to fill the time between stops, it felt like they were feeding us adverts for places to eat. Some of the stops are rubbish too. We were originally going to include a second day for the Santa Monica line but didn't since they stop so early, and I was so glad we hadn't. We got the train to SM instead which was easy and cheap. Wouldn't recommend this tour at all to be honest. In contrast, we went to San Francisco after LA and we loved their tour bus!
