This tour was amazing!! Derek was our tour guide and he was so knowledgeable and entertaining. Every stop we did was so amazing, my favorite was volcanoes national park. I would definitely recommend doing this tour because you really feel like you experience the entire island in a day and learn so much about volcanoes, history, wildlife, and the Hawaiian culture.

We had an absolutely amazing time on this tour! It was the day following the Mauna Loa eruption and our tour guide Kurt was able to answer all of our questions, and ensured we still had a safe and enjoyable day even with our tour being impacted by the volcano. We learned a lot about the history and geography of the island while viewing waterfalls, volcanoes and stunning lookouts. Would definitely recommend! Thanks to Kurt for a great tour.

Did not stop at black sand beaches for some unknown reason , did not follow route . Had lunch in a parking lot not everyone was able to sit . Made a stop at a candy factory/store not on schedule. Just a bad trip ! I feel I should be offered a refund . Last stop was so late in the evening you seen nothing

We are disappointed to see your review especially since we had made clear that the tour route had to be changed due to an unexpected full road closure that was outside of our control. Since this road was the only route to get to the black sand beach on this tour circling around the island, it was not possible to visit it without missing other stops. We made the decision to stop at the Big Island Candies to break up the long drive and give guests a place to have lunch because the road closure didn't allow us to visit our typical lunch spot which is also at the black sand beach. We apologize that your tour arrived at the last stop Waipio Valley Lookout later than usual due to the route change which prolonged the overall drive time, in addition to the early sunset time in the winter season. We made the decision to switch the route under the impression it was in the best interest of our guests. Had we waited 2 hours for the road to reopen ( which was the case based on the traffic notification), our guests would have missed multiple stops.
