Thanks so much to Kevin Burke, our guide for Southern Arizona in July. He did a fantastic job of curating a wonderful experience. His birding skills, infectious good humor, in-depth preparation and flawless execution made it a perfect trip. The birds are important, but the experience is much more than that. He has a real talent and mindset for understanding and delivering what the client wants. He put us on rare birds. We made the ABA Rare Bird Alert on 3 different days. He put me on 43 life birds bringing my total for 2022 to 446 and counting. Iā€™ll see him again on a future trip.

We had a private three - person tour with Kevin today at Beaver Lake. Kevin was extremely informative, warm, and collaborative . He was knowledgeable about every bird type we encountered, and was able to share information about the many birds we did not due to time and season. Describing habitat, flight patterns, feeding and nesting habits, his genuine rapture with even some of the most common nature encountered was contagious. It was a privilege to share time and thoughts with him. His his international expertise in ecotourism was an unexpected treasure. He was able to attract the birds to fly in close to us, and was able to point out the location via verbal descriptors and with use of his distance laser pointer to those further away. He was patient and waited while we watched a Pileated Wood Pecker find some lunch in a tree, enjoying while we observed in quiet appreciation. There was no pressure, only mutual appreciation of surroundings. It was so enjoyable and relaxing to slow down and find some birds with Kevin. 10 out of 10 would do it again.
