Overview

The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price.

The vessel is the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessel is custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men’s and ladies restrooms. The Vessels are equipped with state of the art navigation and fish finding equipment.

The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Blue Heron specializes in private charters for family, business, and corporate events with the options of fishing or cruising.

We had a great experience and the crew was so nice and helpful. We had 3 children with us and they got to know the kids by name and were right there to help with any issues. Mike and Sonic were the best! Overall, highly recommend. We plan to do it again next year!

Living in Florida, I've been on more than a few fishing trips; private, chartered, and party boat style like Blue Heron. While the fish weren't exactly jumping in the boat on our trip, the crew was excellent and the boat was well-maintained and safe. (My son and I did catch a couple nice porgies.) I particularly appreciated how quick to help the mates were with bait, advice, and untangling lines and un-nesting reels. They were noticeably polite and patient with both adults and kids. At 4 hours from boarding to disembarking, it's perfect for bringing the littles.

Capt Richie and crew were amazing!! We’re from Ohio and have never done anything like this!! It was awesome!!! 10/10! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something fun to do!!! We would for sure book with them again!
