Overview

The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price.

The vessel is the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessel is custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men’s and ladies restrooms. The Vessels are equipped with state of the art navigation and fish finding equipment.

The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Blue Heron specializes in private charters for family, business, and corporate events with the options of fishing or cruising.

We absolutely LOVED fishing with you guys! Will be back again next year. This year made the 3rd year we fished with the same crew, and we brought along our 2 grandsons. They really enjoyed their experience and were thrilled that we got our fish cleaned and took them to Palm Beach Shores (our resort) and they cooked them up for us. Great family vacation!!

This was our very first time out on a drift boat. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect boat and crew. The boat is large and you feel extremely safe! The crew is full of fun jokes and are extremely attentive to every single person. There was no delay in our trip. We set off on time and came back on time. If you want a trip where they do the work for you, then you’re set. All you do is let your line out and reel in the fish. You don’t bait your line, if you’re snagged they help you, if you lose your line they fix it and it seems within seconds you’re already back out in the water! It wasn’t so lucky for us but others were doing pretty great, I even got to fight a shark for my fish! You could instantly tell this was an amazing option because the crew knew people by name so they have regular returning customers they take out. They have soda and water available for you as well. I read a bunch of reviews about captains being very aggressive when it comes to tipping in the end. This was not the case here! He just mentions it once and wishes you a wonderful day. Please do tip the crew! They definitely earn every single penny, if you don’t know you will see if you choose this adventure for the day. We will definitely be returning and hope to become one of those regulars! Thanks Blue Heron for making my wife’s birthday memorable and fun!

My 10 year old son and I had a great time. We only pulled in one fish but hooked into a few. We are very amateurish fishermen. The crew was great always there to help and the boat was very clean and nice. A lot of fish were caught on the boat and weather was nice till the very end. The boat has plenty of shade and an enclosed area if needed.
