I’m leaving this review with disappointment. I’ve had great experiences with previous tours before, so I was looking forward to this one, especially because Bonneville Salt Flats had been in my bucket list for a while—but I was wrong. There were three groups, including myself—(a family, a group of two girls, and me), but the tour guide focused almost exclusively on a family, making it feel like a private tour for them. At each stop, he stuck by them, discussing history and sights, while I felt completely ignored. Unlike past guides who introduced themselves, engaged with everyone, and ensured a good experience, this guide barely shared historical details and spent most of the time chatting with the family for the most part. The tour was advertised as a “Bonneville Salt Flats” tour, yet we spent no more than 20 minutes there. When I asked if we’d have more time to spend in the salt flats as we came back to the van rather “too early”, the guide said, “they’re hungry, so we’re moving on.” I wasn’t informed of this change, and it felt unfair to rush through the main highlight. When I requested 5–10 extra minutes, he reluctantly agreed, but knowing everyone was waiting, I came back to the van in a few minutes. Leaving so soon was devastating. The itinerary/time we were promised (as noted in this tour page) wasn’t followed at all. To make matters worse, customer service messaged me afterward, blaming me for being “late” in the morning when we were getting picked up by the tour guide even though I was in the lobby at the scheduled 7:45–8:00 AM window. I was there by 7:45 AM despite my earlier message saying I might not make it AT 7:45 AM, although I managed to be at the lobby by 7:45 AM if not 2-3 minutes past it. This I am sure, because I kept looking at the time as I was going down to the lobby. If the guide came early, why didn’t they call me? And why was it acceptable for them to arrive past 8 AM but not for me to be ready within that window of time? Even after trying to clarify the situation, their dismissive response felt condescending and left a bitter taste. I don’t hold anything against the tour company, but this experience was poorly handled. The guide’s lack of engagement and the customer service’s response made this trip a letdown.

Dmytro is a great tour guide, very knowledgeable with historical facts and helpful with taking pictures. He really brought the Utah story to life. I highly recommend you take this tour especially with him.
