Transportation was about 20 minutes late but got us safely and comfortably to Boone Hall. The actual plantation itself was an excellent experience. If you are interested in a historical perspective that thoroughly covers the experience of the enslaved, I would highly recommend going to Boone Hall. The tour guides were excellent and the Gullah presentation was amazing. My only complaint is that I did not have time to do all the tours that I wanted to, and to complete the things I did I had to rush around. Other members in my group felt the same way. If you have access to a car, I would just drive out to Boone Hall on my own and pay the admission fee there. This will allow you to complete everything you want to do at a leisurely pace. Pack a lunch and plan to spend 4-5 hours there. If transportation is an issue - as it was for me - then definitely sign up for this package - you will still be able to have a good experience at Boone Hall.

So much to see. Go to the hospitality house first so they can get you into the scheduled tours. My favorite was the tractor ride touring the farm. The trees and flowers were gorgeous. Cathy our transportation tour guide was very helpful and full of knowledge about the city’s history on the way.
