The staff very informative and pleasant. The tours are very authentic and knowledgeable for all ages. Well worth the cost. Not the only plantation I’ve seen, but the best!

I had taken the Magnolia plantation tour two days earlier and I was very impressed with the tour. Our driver was very knowledgeable and gave us as much information as time allowed on our trip out to Magnolia. Our house tour and tram tour was prearranged and our Guide took care of making sure we saw it all. Two days later we took the Boone Hall tour. Very disappointed. Guide gave a few points of interest on the way out, but at least 1/2 the trip was total silence. We were dropped off and told to basically figure it out on our own. I could have done the same thing by driving out there and saving myself money. But wanted to hear more about the history of the area. Disappointment. Dont waste your money on this one, if you have a car drive out yourself.

We definitely recommend the visit. We caught the bus at the visitor centre in downtown Charleston and were dropped off and given plenty of time to see everything before we were picked up. The grounds are clean and easy to get around. Everything is well displayed and easy to understand what went on at this plantation.
