Wonderful, wonderful tour, very educational and entertaining. The slave cabins were each set up to sequentially transition from each event in history showing how those in involuntary servitude lived each and everyday. The gardens just outside the plantation owners house were breathtaking, as we're the live oaks lining the entrance drive leading to the moan house. Definitely will come back and recommend to our family and friends.

The docent's account of the plantations history was fascinating and memorable. Do take the time for a listen.

We definitely recommend the visit and to spend 3-4 hours. No words to express the beauty of the oak avenue where one can walk along/under the trees and sit on the few benches to relax and enjoy the view. Other favorite part was the slave street and houses. Interesting introduction at the beginning and presentations in each house. A great (and emotional!) occasion to reflect and remember the life of many people over those years. All other attractions were ok. We liked the very entertaining 30 minute tour of the house and the theater. As the expectation was set high ... we were disappointed by the tractor tour of the plantation: not bad, but nothing special other than the size of the property, if one has already seen agricoltural fields anywhere else. A negative note, though, about its duration: 15 minutes (not 30-40, as mentioned in the website). Overall, we are happy we did and we recommend it.
