We had never been to a plantation (living in the north!). The various tours, activities and displays are very informative. I would return to this plantation.

My family visited the plantation this weekend. Interesting history regarding the houses on the property. The best part is the slave street talk in my opinion. The gardens are beautiful, as well.

Boone Hall is a lovely place to visit. The drive up to the house through the avenue of oaks is just magnificent! I think the highlight, though, has to be the slave quarters. From Nancy White’s sweetgrass baskets to the wonderfully rich storytelling of the Gullah woman the quarters are rich in history and a must for any civil war buff.
