Shawn was our tour guide and did an excellent job of preparing us for Boone Hall and all tha took place there,What I most appreciated was the sensitivity that everyone seemed to have regarding a very painful period in our history. While we can't change our history, we can certainly learn from it and Boone Hall more than accomplishes that! The Gullah presentation and the slave life presentation were sobering and aunthentic. I would return to learn more! Although it was hot and humid, I didn't mind walking around the beautiful grounds, with stops at the gardens.

My family booked a tour of Boone Hall plantation and B.T. was our guide on the way over. He was not only a safe, courteous driver, but an excellent expert on the history of Charleston. For any noteworthy sights on our way to Boone Hall, B.T. made sure that he explained things thoroughly, with a delivery that made it fun for everyone listening. Once we arrived at Boone Hall, B.T. recommended the must-see activities before returning back to the visitor's center - and our family stuck to it. The tractor ride around the plantation, the tour of the home's main rooms and the Gula Culture show made this a picturesque day. I would recommend this to anyone looking to take a plantation tour.

We went the first of May and the weather was in the low 80's, very pleasant. So much history. You can only see the first floor of the house because the current owners live upstairs. This was disappointing. The entrance with the row of trees was magnificent.
