Excellent experience! I liked the way women and people of color were highlighted. The food was all very good. 5 small dishes and 3 drinks made for a happy group. I especially like the rice-based predecessor to the beignet—a great way to taste the history we were talking about.

Guide was amazing, so knowledgeable about the history of the city and the relationships with different cultures and foods. He was super personable and offered so many restaurant recommendations and what to order. The food and drinks were delicious, I would have appreciated one additional location to sample food and/or drink, the majority was at the first stop which we returned to and spent the majority of time at.

A couple of friends and I took the tour and it was awesome! There’s a lot of New Orleans history sprinkled throughout the tour but it doesn’t feel like a boring history lesson. There is some walking but nothing too crazy. The pace is slow and we stopped along the way. We started the tour with a drink and was provided with plenty of food to sample. It definitely added up to a full meal with dessert. DJ was our tour guide and he really made the tour great. He is very informed on the New Orleans food scene and history and offered great recommendations for authentic New Orleans food. I would totally take the tour again!
