What To Expect

Park Street Church

Nicknamed "Brimstone Corner", Park Street Church was built in 1810. Today the church is a hub of social activity for the city of Boston. It has an international congregation with members from over 60 countries.

Massachusetts State House

The Massachusetts State House was built in 1789 on land once owned by John Hancock. The building was nicknamed "The Hub of the Universe" by Oliver Wendell Holmes in 1858

Acorn Street

Acorn Street has the distinction of being one of the most photographed streets in the United States.

Louisburg Square

Built for the privileged upper class of Boston, this square is the location of some of Boston's most notorious scandals and events.

King's Chapel

King's Chapel and Burying Ground is steeped in history. The Burying Ground is the final resting place of Elizabeth Pain, the woman who inspired Nathaniel Hawthorne to pen The Scarlet Letter.

I totally DO NOT recommend this area if you come as a family. I have a combination of couples, teens and children. My husband and I paid over $700 for a hop on hop off city tour. It’s definitely an area for rich people who have way too much money but no manners😢 Welcome in the area you are NOT. After spending $150 on pastries at TATTE and our discriminatory experience I refused to spend another cent and am taking my money where bigotry is not so obvious!!!! This is COVID hateful world we’ve become😢😡

I took this tour in May and loved it. The tour itself is fascinating and extremely well researched. It was fun getting to peek into the history, architecture, and culture of Beacon Hill. I now find myself in Chicago with some time on my hands and am wishing this company had a tour here.

At last, I discovered a tour designed with my mind in mind! I am not one for organized tours with guides. This Beacon Hill tour was great. It was at times humorous, often poignant, and packed with interesting information. I loved not having to show up at a scheduled time or wait on other people. I got hungry, paused the tour, and slipped into a restaurant for a bite - then pushed play and resumed walking. I would recommend this tour for anyone who likes to see a city on their own terms. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
