We did the City view Trolley Tour on our recent visit to Boston. This is an excellent your with nine stops you can get off and back on every 15 minutes. The tour hits all popular tourist spots in the city. If the trolley doesn't stop right at the destination guaranteed the destination isn't far. The tour guides seem extremely knowledgeable and are all different. Our personal favorite was Big Tom who was really funny, had a lot of little fun facts, and made great puns! Our other drivers were great too! My only complaint would be that some of the stops are really hard to find and you may have to ask. The stops are mostly at his stops and we had a hard time finding our first stop to get on. This tour was convienent as we stayed outside the city and took the train in. One trolley stop is right outside the train station. I highly recommend this tour especially for the price. I suggest having a look on Groupon as we got our tickets really cheap!

The hop on hop off trolley tour is a great way to see the city! We purchased the two-day. The first day we rode the whole way to get an overview of the city, and then the second day we got off and on at the stops that interested us. The drivers we had were so funny and knowledgeable! A couple of them were like a comedy show on wheels.
