My 16 year old and I took the tour to sight see. Matty was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable and funny. We learned a lot and used the hop on hop off a few stones at the end of the tour. Trolley stops could be marked better (we just paid attention to where we got off and went back to that spot to get back on). Takes you to most of the big sites or within short walking distance.

We booked our trolley tour about a week before we drove the 900+ miles to Boston. We were not aware that Boston shut down a major part of the city for the gay pride parade. Neither Trip Advisor nor City View Trolley Co. felt it necessary to let us know that most of the trolley stops would not be accessible. When we called the trolley company to find out where we could get on, we got a recording that they were out of the office and that someone would return our call. An hour and a half later there was still no call, so I called again and the person told me that the trolley would be at a certain stop in 20 minutes. I pushed my wife and her wheelchair to the designated spot and after 45 minutes and no trolley, I called again. This time they told me the trolley would be at the stop at the opposite end of Boston Common in 20 minutes. Again, I rolled my wife across the common to the designated stop just to find the parade still going on. After waiting there an hour and no trolley we left. We are disappointed that neither Trip Advisor or City View let us know about the inaccessibility to the trolley at the time of our booking.

We were very lucky to have Matty as our tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable about Boston. We learned a lot about the city. Also very funny and made you feel comfortable throughout the trip. Would highly recommend this tour. You would be very lucky to get him. Go early on Sunday and all metered street parking is free. Don't get hammered paying in the garage like we did.
