My two friends and I hopped on and off multiple trolleys so that we could see more of the city on foot. Each driver was enthusiastic and welcoming, while providing excellent commentary on the monuments and landmarks

I have lived just outside of Boston my entire life and am very familiar with the city. In my opinion, there is no better way to see the city than through CityView Trolley. The guides are very friendly and informative, the route hits all the major stops, and you are bound to learn something new every time you take the tour!

We took this tour on a Sunday afternoon. We got on at Stop #1 and got off at Stop #7 after about 35-40 minutes. This part of the tour was great - the guide was knowledgeable, funny, everything you'd want from a trolley tour guide. We exited at Stop #7 and were told that the trolley runs every 30 minutes. I understand that there will be some variation in times so we returned 45 minutes later with the idea that we would be plenty early for the 2nd bus which should have been arriving 1 hour later. Unfortunately, as we were walking up, there was a trolley pulling away just before we arrived. That means that this trolley was either running 15 minutes late or 15 minutes early. Either way, we then waited an additional 30 minutes at the trolley stop (while attempting to contact the company via telephone multiple times with no answer), until we eventually gave up and walked our way back. I would say if you're planning on taking this tour, just sit on the tour one time the full way through because they're unreliable with their timing. We saw the Orange Bus "Hop On Hop Off" Trolley pass by 4 times over the course of the 30 minutes that we waited, so while it's more expensive I'd have to recommend them over City View if you plan on actually "hopping" on and off. Very disappointing to say the least.
