If you prepay, you must still go and exchange your 'ticket' at stop #1. Once on, make sure you get off at the closest stop to multiple sights you want to see as the next trolley coming along will probably be full and leave you waiting for the next, or the next... That is of course providing you can FIND a stop! Be prepared to do A LOT of walking regardless.

I had booked the trolley with cruise tour, and was told when we went to the informational booths near the cruise boat, "they didnt honor the cruise boat voucher anymore". Paid the additonal money for the cruise tour, but hope this knowledge will prevent further sales for this package deal. Should have checked with other booths, I think this guy was just a scammer. Going back to Boston October 7th, I'll be looking for that booth.

I was in Boston with my teenage son and father for 3 days and bought the Boston Go Card which came with a 2 day pass on the Cityview HOHO bus. Used it only one afternoon as Boston had already been explored by foot. We tried to find the pick up spot around Boston Common but several busses passed us by until we finally found the pick up spot. We enjoyed the humor and knowledge of the guides and got off at two other spots to exore Little Italy and the Navy Yard. Most of the area covered is outside and the Freedom Trail. We did see other HOHO bises arou d town, so look at where other companies go as others were seen at Harvard and Copley Sq, so assume they are longer and cover more areas around Boston.
