I took my 11 yr old granddaughter for a tour of Boston. The first driver we had was knowledgeable, polite and friendly. We hopped off to tour the Constitution and when we hopped back on the next guide was more involved with his theatrical rendition of the tour than the riders. We wanted to see Cheers so when we got off the trolley and asked directions he threw his arm up and said "that way" (we did not tip so I assume that made him angry) standing at a bus drop off in busy Boston traffic with no clue of which way was "that way" we waited for the next one to stop. Explained to the driver we didn't understand where Cheers was he was VERY sarcastic...if we knew our way around Boston we wouldn't be on the tour!!! This driver gave the history of the sights along with his own sarcastic and inappropriate impressions. During the rest of the ride he indicated that tipping was expected and even more so from "some of you's" He complained about tourist drivers Uber drivers , millenials, old people tech people and whatever popped into his mind at the moment!! He announced he was great for this job because he had ADHD I could not wait for this tour to be over!!! We thought about getting off at one of the stops but were afraid we would be stuck waiting for another obnoxious rude arrogant driver! His language was totally inappropriate for young children and offensive to everyone else. I took this tour because I use a cane and was travelling with my granddaughter....NOT the experience I expected for the money I paid!!

This is not the experience we wish for our customers. Thank you for letting us know. It will support us in training our drivers and their presentations. Please contact us at [email protected] with any further input regarding this situation.

My wife and I got a two day pass through the Go Boston card. This is a good way to see the highlights and then decide where you would like to go back and visit. We had two great guides, Walter and Hugo. Both were knowledgeable and informative. I have to give a special shout out to Hugo. It was the end of the day and just my wife and I were on the trolley. Nice conversation beyond just the tour spiel and he dropped us off closer to our hotel than the normal stop. I recommend this tour.

We started this tour at the gold dome state house after buying tickets at the visitors center in The Commons. We had originally planned to do a walking tour, but temps were in the 90’s and this seemed like a better choice, plus for only a few more dollars we got to see so many more areas we wouldn’t have seen! The trolley is open air, but there was a/c running, so it wasn’t cool but it wasn’t sweltering. The drivers all did a good job narrating while we rode around. We were there on a weekday, so we didn’t ever have trouble finding seats for a party of six, as other reviewers did. Highlights: USS Constitution (free, must tour!) Boston Tea Party site, boat, tea house Old cemetery-check out Sam Adams, Franklin’s parents, Paul Revere... Boston Gardens Site of Boston Massacre
