What To Expect
1
Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park
Your North End experience begins at the lifeblood of Boston, the Boston Harbor. Walk through a scenic waterfront park, with views of the harbor, East Boston and the historic wharfs lining Atlantic Ave. We’ll make our way to the heart of the North End, with views of some of the most historic sites and properties in the neighborhood, some dating back to the late 1600s and early 1700s.
2
North End
Delicious food is never far away in the North End. Your guide will introduce you to a small, hidden Italian bakery serving up fresh bread daily. Break bread with your fellow travelers and let the carbs give you the energy to continue your adventure! A proper Italian salumeria is next, and you’ll have a chance to enjoy Italian meats and cheeses at their finest and freshest. Next up, we’ll take in the energy of the North End’s busiest corridor, Hanover Street, where it’s time for a mid-tour break with your guide at a traditional Italian café. Here, if you like, you can purchase and enjoy your choice of a classic cappuccino, espresso or tea or just take a minute off your feet.
3
Old North Church & Historic Site
As you let the caffeine kick in, your guide goes back in time into North End history. Hear stories about some of the most influential events that happened in Boston, including Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride. We make our way to the Old North Church, where we may get to step inside the hallowed walls.

Many thanks to our hospitable host Bob H of Urban Adventures for a delightful morning strolling around Boston's historic north end. Just the right combo of history, insight, tips, insider info, and fun all combined with stops several local cafes (pizza, coffee, pastries etc) to get an authentic taste of Boston's vibrant Italian community. Highly recommended!

Food tours are often focused on just food - and that is totally great. But with so much history in the North End we couldn't do a food tour without stopping at some of the most famous (an infamous) places that are connected to this neighborhood. Our goal is to combine the food and the history in a way that is fun, informative and filling. Thank you for the great review.

Great small group experience. Was able to hear and interact with tour guide and other members of our group, which is harder to do with a large group. Was shown great places to eat that we would have never found on our own, only a local would know! Great tour guide Connor! He was very informative, very flexible, and very

At Urban Adventures we purposely keep our groups small so that each guest can hear and interact with the guide. Really glad that you had a good time. The North End is filled with restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops, but it takes a real local to know which ones to go to. Thank you for the great review.

This is a definite must if you are interested in the culture and the food in Boston’s North End. Our guide Connor was fantastic. Super friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Found the perfect out of the normal tourist places to sample the tastes of Italy in Boston. Places we would have never found on our own. Would recommend this tour and most certainly would recommend Connor.

There are over 100 restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries in the one-square mile we call the North End. How do you know which ones to go to? Ask a local! Conner is a Bostonian and he knows those more-hidden local places as well as the history of the North End. Glad you had a great time!
