I think food tours should be about the culture and history of the area & food as well as tasting good foods. This tour had good food, but lacked information about the historic North End area and information about the food. There was a minute or two explanation, but not what I think could have been shared about this area. 3 of the stops were in the Public Market at vendors. The nuts were delicious, the lobster roll was also very good. But, 3 food samples in one building was not what I was expecting. Take your own water. We also had two tastings at the same restaurant, where we sat to eat, but didn’t get much explanation about the place. Next time, I would pick a tour that covers more of the historic area.

The history of Boston was interesting, our guide who is fairly new did a great job, very knowledgeable. Food was plentiful and tasty. Highly recommend the tour

We did this tour as it was recommended by a friend. It was nothing to rave about. Here are some pros and cons: Pros: enough food, something to do, North End area is great, food choices tasted good. Cons: there were only about three true stops. The first is at a restaurant where the waiters look less than thrilled to cater to our tour group. Then, the guide grabs a snack from a market and we eat at a park nearby. Followed by a food hall where the guide gets food from 3 spots. Lastly, dessert. The food hall seemed like a lazy stop and nothing secretive. Would like to see more stops at North End given its extensive history. Guide: - nice but lacked charisma and enthusiasm - some facts seemed questionable - should have napkins ready for the guests
