Bardstown

Bardstown Bourbon distillery has amazing tour and restaurant. Start tasting whiskey from the moment you enter all-glass classroom overlooking 100 acres of active farmland. Examine and evaluate how products are created then age, develop, and finish in the most technically advanced distillery in the country. Great experiences at all these places Tasting was great at Buffalo Trace and so was the tour guide explaining Prohibition and how it related to them. I would recommend all of these tours, as even though all are much the same in the process, each tour adds much value to their own tours and tastings

The tour started with the guide being 30 minutes late. Then in an effort to make up time she drove wrecklessly and actually drove through a red light. This made us nervous the rest of the day as safety should always be a priority. The original lateness caused us to miss a tasting at one of the distilleries. While the guide was very pleasant, she was difficult to understand which made the tour feel more like just being driven around than an interactive and informative tour.

Tour guide was prompt, got us to all our tastings and made sure we were taken care of. Half way through the day we asked if we could add an additional tasting and 40 minutes later it was booked. Definitely worth the money to be able to do the tours at our pace.
