Breckenridge
This is a walking tour of historic downtown Breckenridge, making outdoor stops at many locations, telling stories of our dark past. We will start at the south end of town and make approximately 7 stops on the way, finishing at the north end of town at the old Brown Hotel. We use ghost/spirit hunting equipment in our search for the energy that remains. Please dress warmly for this outdoor tour.

We met our tour guide Cindy at the Welcome Center and proceeded on an one and half hour walking tour of Breckenridge historical homes. Two homes that have been restored were on the tour as examples of homes from the early era. Cindy explained some of the downtown construction of early buildings which was not the best construction techniques. There was a lot of early folklore and examples of life within the city. Highly recommend one of the tours as a why to find out about Breckenridge's past.

Thank you so much for your comments. Glad you enjoyed the tour. Just a note that the tour guide's name was actually Gail.

We were deciding between which two "haunted tours" we wanted to do and decided to do this one and we're glad we did! Gail was our tour guide and she was awesome! We started outside the courthouse with some stories. There is a bit of walking on this tour so beware if you have problems up in the mountains but I would say it was about a mile in total. There is not a lot of investigating on this tour, really only two stops to see about anything, with the main one being the Brown Hotel. Gail had dowsing rods, and a few K-II meters (EMF) and we brought our own Mel-meter as well. Very affordable fun and both of our kids (ages 11 and 17) had a good time. Amazingly we ended right outside a cookie store and ice cream store so what a way to end the tour!

We took this evening tour and are so happy we did! Jamie was our tour guide and her passion for Breckenridge history and the supernatural make the tour so enjoyable. We started off inside the Dredge Restaurant and sat while she told us a brief informative history of Breckenridge, focusing on the early settlement of the area. Then we went to the basement (thanks to the friendly staff!) where the ghost part of the tour started. After that eerie experience we walked down the main street and stopped at a few places for additional history of the people and places of the times. We looked for spirits at the Apres Ski bar but they were not there - we did get lucky at The Brown which was off the main street. The tour was a few hours long and there were ample opportunities to sit and relax along the way. We highly recommend this fun tour with Jamie!
