Great tour. Our guide, Jessie, was awesome. Very knowledgeable and professional, she had hands-on experience on Broadway as an actor and a producer. The tour starting point was in Times Square. Times Square should be one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. It's the preeminent, modern, outdoor temple to the supernatural powers of advertising. But the focus of the tour was Broadway theater. It was February, cold, slushy, with light snow falling. But totally worth it. In fact, better that way. We could stand on a street corner and gawk without being overrun by the usual mobs of pedestrians. To be honest, I'm not a huge theater buff. Going on the tour wasn't my idea. But our guide also covered the rich history of theater in New York, and I am a history buff. I really enjoyed the tour, even in the crappy weather, and I learned a lot. One thing I learned, even without going into a theater to see a show, is that even though sitting in your living room streaming 4K UHD is pretty awesome, I have to admit, it'll never replace Broadway. Never. Near the end of the tour there was an opportunity for a couple of my compatriots to briefly try their skills at acting, which was fun. It's definitely not as easy as it looks. For food after the tour, our guide Jessie recommended an area a couple blocks from Times Square, where we found a nice, reasonably priced restaurant with delicious paella and sangria. I'd recommend the tour to anyone, regardless of whether or not Broadway theater is your thing. After all, "all the world's a stage." That's what some theater buff told me.

A really good experience with a sweet and enthusiastic guide who had a lot of theatre knowledge and personal experience. It was a very warm trip as it mostly took place outdoors, but the guide did his best to get us in shade and air-conditioning. A tip for those of you looking for the guide at Times Square: ours did not have a big sign, but could be recognized on the cap and bag with the company logo.
