What To Expect
1
Brooklyn Heights
We just touch on the southern end of this historic neighborhood and get a sense of how locals shop in the numerous ethnic and immigrant-owned bakeries and restaurants.
2
Brooklyn Bridge
To start your tour, we’ll make our way up onto this New York City icon for incredible views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Hudson River below (but don’t worry, we’re not walking the whole thing). You won’t want to miss this photo-opp!
3
Manhattan Bridge
Underneath another of New York’s incredible bridges is the DUMBO Archway. This plaza has recently become a popular public space - hosting public art, festivals, and other community gatherings throughout the year. You’ll enjoy views of the soaring bridge above you.
4
Dumbo
Throughout your foodie tour, your guide will educate you on the vibrant history of the neighborhoods you’ll be exploring - including DUMBO! This area of Brooklyn is renowned for its art community (who have revitalized the neighborhood in recent years) and it’s high quality food scene! While you taste your way through Brooklyn, you’ll learn all about how the businesses here came to be and how they have formed the lively culture of this area.

Angelo was our tour guide and did an amazing job of sharing very interesting information about the Brooklyn Bridge and nearby neighborhoods. The food we had was so delicious and we were stuffed! We are definitely booking another tour in the near future.

What a fabulous 3hrs, well spent learning about the history of NY, Brooklyn, sampling some amazing local foods from iconic shops and getting a total new perspective of Brooklyn as a destination! Not to mention Erik, our most friendly and incredibly knowledgeable guide. I had the best experience and group, and highly recommend. Worth every cent!

Eric was great, very friendly and enthusiastic, but the tour was supposed to be a food tasting tour and it focussed a great deal on architecture. Also, we had to hang around waiting for late people for far too long before we were given any food - at least 40 minutes. We kept telling him that we were ravenous, having not eaten since our flight the previous night. He could have responded better. Two of the food items were really similar - egg bagel and then an hour later, cream cheese bagel. It wasn’t the best. In the end we were given bagels, ice cream, chocolate, pizza, fried pickles and empanadas. It was an enjoyable experience. But don’t pander to late people so much, to the detriment of those who showed up on time.

Hello, Thank you for your honesty and your thorough review. We always aim to ensure that every guest is happy with their tour experience as well as enjoying the food and the history shared. First, I apologize about the tour beginning late and will ask about this with the guide. We do want to make sure folks are fed fairly quickly when showing up for a food tour. We at WeVenture aim to provide specific stories with our tours that are enhanced by various aspects such as food, architecture, and history. And with this tour, we have the food tell the story of the great local establishments that have arisen in Brooklyn Heights/Dumbo in the last 20 years. The first item is supposed to be served on a kaiser roll to provide some differentiation--apologies that the shop may have run out on that day. Glad you had an enjoyable experience and enjoyed the food and sights!
