If you are fit and looking for some exercise while you learn, I hope you have a great sunny and windless walk like I did. An incomparable adventure. At it’s end for three bucks I took the ferry back over to Wall Street. Look for the ticket machine to your left as you walk towards where the ferries come in. The machine is a little bit before the sign that indicates the piers to the left. Don’t go left to the piers however these are the floating grass recreation areas that you see from your walk along the pedestrian walk from where you see Manhattan. I started a ways down it to the left then realized that way to the piers was the wrong direction. I confirmed this by asking a friendly group of young folks!

I'm travelling alone so quite independent and thought about just walking the bridge by myself and self-educating. I'm so glad I didn't because the tour was such an enjoyable and informative way to not just take in the visual wonder of the bridge and the skyline but also to learn about the human stories behind its construction and also its place in the history of New York. Our guide Marcos was engaging and funny and knowledgeable - everything you could want in a great tour guide. Highly recommend!
