We undertook this tour through City Pass on a very cold February morning, which soon turned to heavy snow. Despite this our guide, Alessia, carried on undaunted and provided a thoroughly excellent tour. The guide is very easy to hear through a portable speaker even through the traffic noise and wind. The tour starts on the steps of the courthouse where you check in. It was fascinating to hear of the context for the building of the bridge and the leadership and principles of the designers, including the crucial role of the wife of the builder (not wanting to spoil the tour by giving too much away!). You then walk across the bridge and stop at the best spots for photographs. On the Brooklyn side you are rewarded with further commentary on the emergence of Brooklyn as a borough and finish off at a tastefully refurbished warehouse. The tour ends and you are free to continue to your own desires. We ended up in a coffee bar warming up! If we had longer in NYC we would have undertaken another tour without hesitation.

Just took the tour last Saturday. First of all, discovered Brooklyn led by a proud local. Pleasant surprise as it was well paced and very informative. Liked it so much that will book other tours while in town, for personal knowledge and customer entertainment. Well done!
