While crossing the Brooklyn Bridge and meandering around the streets surrounding the bridge can be self-guided, having a guide of the calibre of Julia Ryan as I did yesterday when I did this tour, makes for a much more interesting journey. Julia is a guide of many years’ experience who is passionate and very knowledgeable about her subject. She is a born and bred New Yorker, who now lives in Brooklyn. The tour is well-paced, with plenty of time to get those perfect pictures along the way.

Despite all the hype with Brooklyn as a neighbourhood in popular culture, the Brooklyn Bridge is instead the most monumental icon. Great stories behind! Ludie our tour guide made this tour TOP CLASS. Her passion and knowledge is absolutely remarkable. So glad that I went on this tour. A must do if visiting NYC. There is so much more to explore around Brooklyn, so the tour from 11am-1pm is perfect - lunch after, then self exploration.
