Overview

Workshop Information: This unique hands-on workshop allows participants to create their own graffiti art project with the help of an authentic NYC graffiti artist. Learn the tips and techniques of aerosol art from fill-ins to masterpieces as you immerse yourself in the graffiti art culture. The workshop takes place in our beautiful Brooklyn art studio in the heart of Bushwick Brooklyn. Cultivating creative thought and a welcoming environment, this experience is designed for all ages and talent levels. Leave this workshop with a greater understanding of this still misunderstood craft and of course your newly created work.

I can’t recommend this class enough. My 11 year-old nephew visited me in Brooklyn and we did tons of cool stuff, but this was easily a major highlight for him. I grew up with graffiti writers and worried it would be some watered-down thing, but it was legit and super fun—my nephew had no experience but learned how to wield a can, got a lot of personal attention from a great, experienced, funny artist/instructor (I don’t know what the ratio is normally, but when we went it was one instructor for two kids), and left with a large piece he is SOOOOO proud of. I spent so much money while he was here between sneaker shopping, escape rooms, and Shake Shack, and this was by far the best bang for the buck. I’m the “cool”—lol—childless aunt so I’m not used to spending so much money on people other than myself, and after this week, the price feels like a steal, which, for one-on-one time with real artists, it is! That said, I love that the prices are actually accessible for a lot of people when they could be charging so much more. The class is suitable for adult and kids (tho probs not super young).

I booked this graffiti workshop as a surprise gift for my 15 year old daughter who loves street art. It exceded my expectations 100%!! The Graffiti guide Leaf was very good at teaching the basic techniques and then with his help, my daughter painted her own graffiti on a cloth we took along. Everything is very well organized and we found it an excellent and different way of connecting with street art!

I’m 12 years old and we took a class with leaf and he was amazing. I learned how to make graffiti and I see graffiti everywhere. I would like to be a graffiti artist just like leaf. I think that everyone should take this class to learn about this type of art.
