Overview

Workshop Information: This unique hands-on workshop allows participants to create their own graffiti art project with the help of an authentic NYC graffiti artist. Learn the tips and techniques of aerosol art from fill-ins to masterpieces as you immerse yourself in the graffiti art culture. The workshop takes place in our beautiful Brooklyn art studio in the heart of Bushwick Brooklyn. Cultivating creative thought and a welcoming environment, this experience is designed for all ages and talent levels. Leave this workshop with a greater understanding of this still misunderstood craft and of course your newly created work.

I spent the afternoon with two friends learning about graffiti and how to create it at Gabe’s awesome studio space. He is knowledgeable and fun! Made us all feel comfortable and was super supportive. Absolutely recommend for families, friends, couples, and individuals alike. Very unique activity. Great way to experience BK and/or Manhattan. Well worth it-we loved it!!!

This was really enjoyable and informative! Resa, a local graffiti artist, was our host and teacher. She met us at a nearby coffee shop and led us past a host of inspiring neighborhood murals to the warehouse studio room, where she prepped a new piece of canvas, and introduced us to the tools of the trade. She got us started with some basics, demonstrated expert techniques, and generously and graciously guided us as we created our graffiti masterpiece! We have a whole new perspective on spray paint murals now, being able to understand how the effects are created, and admire the technical and conceptual artistryl, and dream about how we can put our new skill to use.
