The Brothels, Bites and Booze tour will introduce you to the beginnings of San Diego as a port town – learn why it became one of the more notorious red light districts of its time, and find out how this once-undesired neighborhood became a fun and vibrant nightlife destination for both locals and visitors. I can’t recommend the Brothels, Bites, and Booze tour enough! We met downtown and Bianca, the owner and tour guide, shared the history of the Gaslamp district. I am a second generation SD native, and all the info was new to me. We stopped at a few different restaurants and bars to eat and drink. Each location had perfectly curated food and drink selections and were accompanied by more fun facts and historical information about each location. We ended the night at Vin de Syrah for an amazing burlesque show. Between each stop, we paused to view different historical buildings and hear some wild stories about their origins. From start to finish the tour was entertaining and exciting. My favorite part was that everything was planned! SODiego takes the work out of organizing a fun night out. Forget about long lines, cover fess, waiting for a table, or deciding where to go next, you get the VIP experience when you are with SODiego. I can’t wait to check out their other tours. Thank you SODiego for such a fun night out!

Thanks for the awesome review, Katie! I had a blast with the ladies, and love so much that fellow locals enjoyed the tour as much as our visitors. You hit on some of the main reasons why we love tour so much. No planning, everything is set, gaining knowledge about the area, meeting friends, and of course, having fun! Thanks again for joining! :)

I've done a couple of food tours in other cities in the US and outside the US and really enjoyed them, which is why I wanted to continue the experience in other cities. The tour guide was very pleasant, knowledgeable, flexible and engaging with the group. The booking process was also quite easy. While the drinks on the tour were good, I was quite disappointed with the food itself which is what I was looking forward to. With so many eclectic and delectable restaurants in the city, the options chosen for the tour were average and I didn't think it was worth the money. If you're going to try new food in the city, I wouldn't recommend this tour.
